I have to say, I thought the bowl and saucer format was pretty cute. The mac & cheese, on the other hand, looked oily and insipid.
Flavor: ⭐️
I was shocked by the lack of flavor in this mac. Seriously, it tasted like buttered pasta.
Creaminess: ⭐️
Clumpy and dry. The only amount of moisture in the whole bowl was the separated oil-eek.
Cheesiness: ⭐️
If you focused really hard and chewed slowly, you could make out a whisper of Vermont cheddar.
Texture: ⭐️⭐️
There was not a ton of texture in this mac, but on the plus side, the pasta was properly cooked.
Overall Experience:
I love The Laundry, so their mac and cheese was a big let-down; it definitely needs some TLC to make it menu-worthy.
