~ Original Truffle Mac & Cheese ~
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Presentation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mouthwatering. There’s an artful pop of color in this dish that’s always a bonus, as is the classic cast-iron skillet.
Flavor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
With a mouth still full of my first bite of piping hot mac & cheese, I exclaimed, “Oh my God, this is so good.” Not only was the blend of cheeses delightful, but I doubt that I’ve ever crossed paths a more balanced ratio of truffle oil; consider the truffle like this – if it were a cheerleader, it would not be the flyer, but a base.
Generally, I am not a big pea gal, but these were incredibly fresh, and actually added nice hint of sweetness to check the savory side.
Creaminess: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Exemplary.
Cheesiness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This blend of mozzarella, fontina, and white cheddar worked in absolute harmony. Moreover, these creamy cheeses amounted to cheese pulls in every bite.
Texture:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The bacon and pasta were cooked to perfection, the peas were fresh and not gritty in the slightest, the breadcrumbs were toasted to the ideal crunch, and the cheese was creamy and melty. What a beautiful symphony.
Overall Experience:
Not only was The Social Kitchen a super cool place with great brews and drinks, but it was also love at first bite with their mac & cheese – a clear five stars.
