~ Mac-N-Cheese ~

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Presentation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Cute, but not sexy. On the other hand, the melty cheese and bacon are quite visually appealing.

Flavor: ⭐️

Very “meh.” There was little to no variety in flavor, aside from a slight aftertaste of Kraft Singles.

Creaminess: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Something interesting about this mac is that was sufficiently creamy – but that creaminess came solely from of the immense volume of cheese in the dish.

Cheesiness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As you can see from the lovely photo and from what I have already reported to you, there was a hell of a lot of cheese in this mac. Again though, the cheese blend was vapid in flavor, which could certainly be improved upon.

Texture: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pretty basic, although the ditalini pasta was a jazzy change of pace.

Overall Experience:

Casey’s mac is pretty middle-of-the-road; it’s not bad, but not mind-blowing either. The menu’s description of the mac and cheese as “a rich baked casserole of macaroni” is completely accurate, however, so I think that a standard, yet hearty, comfort food mac is precisely what they are aiming for.
