” Mac N Cheese “

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Presentation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Though she be but little, she is fierce. Very few times have I found an appetizer or side dish mac to be worthy of five stars, so you know they’ve got to be damn good. Something I don’t ever think about that I would definitely consider an element of presentation is smell – I knew that my food had arrived before I even saw it, because it smelled phenomenal. Added to the quaint little cast iron dish and aesthetic dusting of breadcrumbs and scallions, this mac really knew how to make an entrance.

Flavor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Get your suitcase ready, because this mac is PACKED with flavor. I’m not even close to kidding when I say that I have ever eaten mac & cheese so slowly in my entire life. The essence of the scallions was completely unleashed in this mac, and it was phenomenal. I find scallions to be one of the best flavors to bolster any mac & cheese, and you don’t need to be shy about how much you use. It was – and I cannot stress this enough – delicious.

Creaminess: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Only one thing comes to mind here:

If you don’t know that I love Spongebob references, now you know.

Cheesiness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wish I could tell you all about what cheeses I was eating, but to quote Gucci Mane, I got lost in the sauce. Five stars, obviously. Hot take: I probably wouldn’t have stopped eating it if someone told me it was laced with poison.

(Okay, it was Gruyere according to the menu.)

Texture: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Al dente cavatappi, crisp breadcrumbs, rock shrimp, and bubbly cream sauce. An all-star team if I’ve ever seen one.

Overall Experience:

This review basically wrote itself, except for my commentary on the rest of our dinner. Drinks? Amazing. Other food? Amazing. Atmosphere? You guessed it – amazing. Even the choice of music was amazing. That’s all I have to say about that.
